When US President Donald Trump announced that he would charge 100% tax on chips and semiconductor classes, he would once again name Taiwan and Taiwan Electricity.
Trump held a reporter meeting in White House on the afternoon of the 6th, Eastern Time, said that Intel Corp. had previously moved to other places, especially Taiwan, but now many chip companies have decided to return to the United States.

Trump also said that the world's largest chip operator is investing in Arizona. He also mentioned that Telco will invest US$200 billion in the United States (see the official video about 17 minutes and 50 seconds).
He emphasized, "We will charge 100% tax on chips and semiconductors. However, if you are producing in the United States, you don't have to pay any fees."
Trump only mentioned when he was interviewed by CNBC on August 5 that he was about to impose taxes on semiconductors and drugs, saying that he would announce the latest tax plan "in the next week" because "we hope that the chips can be made in the United States." Trump also said at the time that Taiwan Power, the world's largest crystalline foundry manufacturer, is building a factory in Arizona, and is preparing to invest $300 billion locally.
