Taiwan Power stated that the Jiayi delivery contractor construction area was suspended on the 28th according to the notice of the natural disaster suspension of work and class in the Jiayi County Government. The disaster prevention related operation team is on standby, and the relevant disaster prevention inspection procedures have been deployed, including the drainage channel being nucleated, drainage pumping is being prepared, and the temporary devices with larger winds in the industrial area have been reduced.

Taiwan Electric also stated that the design of the factory base is higher than the road surface, and there is nothing in the industrial area at present. Due to the impact of the heavy rainfall, water pumping and recovery work on public roads outside the industrial zones is undergoing water pumping and recovery work. The company will continue to monitor rainfall and adopt relevant measures to prevent disasters to ensure the safety of personnel and environment during the period and reduce possible disaster risks.
