Liverpool officially announced the launch of a T-shirt commemorating Jota, with all proceeds going to grassroots football projects named after him.

This commemorative T-shirt is gray in adult style and white in children's style, with touching images of Ruota making heart-shaped celebration gestures with his hands, lyrics of fan songs, and "Forever No. 20". After consultation with Jota's family, Liverpool decided to retire the No. 20 jersey in the club's teams of all levels in honor of him.

Before the first game of the new Premier League season, fans will spontaneously organize a tribute event to Jota and his brother Andre, when the KOP stands and Sir Kenny Dalglish stands will display special mosaics. Fans will unveil this special mosaic during the silence before the start of the game against Bournemouth. Players will also print specially designed "Forever 20" badges on their jerseys and entrance jackets, which will be part of the season. All Premier League matches will pay tribute to the brothers in the first weekend of the new season.

Liverpool has previously provided specific details on how to create a more permanent memorial. After the July tragedy, thousands of physical souvenirs left outside Anfield have been removed and properly separated and safely stored. Among them, the flower souvenirs will be composted and used in flower beds throughout the club, including Anfield, AXA Training Center and AXA Melwood Training Center. The remaining items will be recycled by professional companies to create a permanent commemorative sculpture that will become an important memorial site in Anfield in the future.
