An American man invented the "Kitten Wheel" to help domestic cats lose weight and get in shape.

International Online Special: According to the British "Daily Mail" report on July 21, Sean Farley, a man from California, was inspired by the hamster wheel and designed a "kitten wheel" based on the same principle to help domestic cats who stay indoors lose weight and get in shape.

This "kitten wheel" is called The One Fast Cat. After the kitten is put on it, the wheel will spin when it starts walking. The wheel currently retails for $199 (approximately RMB 1,235), and its price will increase when Farley raises enough funds through the fundraising platform Kickstarter to begin mass production.

The One Fast Cat is made of special "closed-cell foam" to prevent cat claws from scratching. Farley said: "It is good for cats to participate in some exercise, and it is also important to get cats interested in exercise."

According to statistics, half of domestic cats in the United States live indoors, and there is evidence that these pets who lack activity and stimulation may develop behavioral problems. The One Fast Cat website states: "More and more tests show that cats kept indoors will become bored and even develop depression and other psychological problems."

And tests on the "Kitten Wheel" have shown that it can not only improve the physical fitness of cats, but also change the cats' temperament, making them more relaxed and calm. It's unclear how cats are encouraged to use wheel exercise, but the kittens in The One Fast Cat video seem to enjoy the exercise. (Shen Shuhua)

This kind of wheel currently retails for US$199 (approximately RMB 1,235).
