It is understood that the washing machines on the market are divided into two categories: pulsator and drum. Among them, the former relies on the pulsator designed to rotate forward and reversely at the bottom to drive the clothes to rub and rotate. If you use this washing machine to wash down jackets, the waterproof coating on the outer layer of the down jacket will have a lot of air when it rotates back and forth due to poor breathability. Especially during the down jacket drying process, a large amount of air will be generated instantly but cannot be discharged. If you really don't want to take the risk of using a washing machine, then hand washing is the safest. The correct way to wash your hand is as follows:

(1) If the down jacket is not too dirty, you can use dry cleaning. Dip a towel into gasoline or white vinegar and gently wipe it on the collar, cuffs, front panel, etc. After the oil is removed, wipe it with a dry towel and wait until the gasoline is evaporated and you can wear it.

(2) If the down jacket is too dirty, only the overall washing method is used. Soak the down jacket in cold water for 20 minutes first. Pour about 2 tablespoons of washing powder into clean water with a water temperature of 20-30℃ and stir well, then put it in a down jacket that removes the water and squeezes out the moisture, and soak for 5-10 minutes. Remove the down from the washing liquid, spread it flat on a clean platter, and gently brush it from the inside to the outside with a soft brush dipped in the washing liquid.

After scrubbing, put the clothes in the detergent solution for a few times, then rinse them in warm water at 30℃ twice, then put them in clean water and rinse them 3 times to completely remove the detergent residue. Wrap the rinsed down with a dry bath towel and gently suck out the moisture, then place it in the sun or in a ventilated place to dry.

Take out the clothes hanger at home (please use wooden or plastic clothes hanger, try not to use sponge clothes hanger), 360° pat the down jacket hard, be sure to use force, otherwise the tangled down will not easily dissipate and fluffy.
